Roy Domster is a building scientist and owner of Xspec llc – based in Vero Beach, Florida. He has over twenty years of verifiable experience in the fields of building science, industrial hygiene, occupational health, and safety. He has been involved on a wide-variety of project sites throughout the United States and possesses the direct experience in recognizing and anticipating hazards, and investigating and diagnosing building failures. Services begin with an evaluation of the existing conditions. I survey the problems to determine their extent, seriousness and probable causes.
Prepare – An initial telephone or face to face meeting allows me to begin to scope exactly what the goals of the investigation are and prepare the equipment necessary to achieve maximum results. An initial brief is also created to give a road map to follow when on-site which maximizes my effectiveness by keeping on track and working efficiently.
Investigate – I am on-site to work for you and will make a clean sweep of the area(s) and document everything with specialized equipment. Startling findings are usually available within minutes and may lead to additional areas of interest and work with you to cover all the bases.
Provide Answers – Once back at the office I will review and analyze the data and digital images collected during the course of the on-site investigation. These materials (facts) are formed into a comprehensive project report that details the problems and faults encountered. The report will illustrate problems clearly in terms that you will understand, while also providing the technical details that your vendors will need to fix it.
Stay In The Loop – At the point where other companies might disappear I will continue to make sure that your results are working for you, by liaising with contractors and vendors, making myself available for additional project – related consultation and undertaking additional reporting and investigative work.
